A brief description of the background for establishment of the Сertification Body for railcar building products
The Certification Body for railcar building products was established on the basis of the State Ukrainian Railway Car Building Research Institute on a joint order of the State Committee of Ukraine for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (Derzhspozhyvstandart of Ukraine) and the Ministry of Mechanical Engineering, Ukraine’s Military-Industrial Conversion Complex dated June 16, 1993 under No. 265/87 for certification works in the State Certification System UkrSEPRO.

The first certificate of accreditation was issued by the Certification Body for railcar building products on August 19, 1998. The Certificate acknowledged that the Certification Body meets the requirements of the Ukrainian accreditation system and is accredited as a product certification body in the UkrSEPRO Certification System.
